Judge C.R. Magney State Park MNJudge C.R. Magney State Park, which was originally called Bois Brule State Park, is centered on the Brule River, which flows through the park to reach Lake Superior. The River features white water rapids, a varies of waterfalls, and the popular site Devil?s Kettle. Devil?s Kettle can be reached by hiking up the most popular trail. The place is found where the river splits around volcanic rock and plunges down a waterfall. Half of the river is caught after a 50-foot fall in a large pool, while the other half is caught in a huge pothole before the river joins together again and heads to the lake.Because the park features such an exciting river, many tourist love to fish here. Brook trout is a popular species, as are rainbow trout. If you don?t like to fish, you can also camp by the river, go bird watching, or check out some of the other wildlife in the park, like timberwolves, snowshoe hares, woodchuck, deer, and black bears. |
